December 10, 2011 MUSCAT - Oman and the Netherlands have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and a Covenant on Cooperation in the health sector in general and in fighting HIV/Aids in particular.

December 1, 2011 The convention for the avoidance of double taxation and fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income, signed between Oman and the Netherlands on October 5, 2009, has now been ratified.

Tweede Kamerverkiezingen 2012

In de ministerraad is op 27 apil jl. besloten verkiezingen uit te schrijven voor 12 september 2012. Kiezers die buiten Nederland wonen, moeten zich voor deelname aan de verkiezingen laten registreren bij de gemeente Den Haag. Registreren kan vanaf 5 mei 2012 door het registratieformulier in te vullen dat vanaf die datum beschikbaar is via de website www.denhaag.nl/verkiezingen. De kiezer die zich voor de vorige Tweede Kamerverkiezingen in 2010 heeft laten registreren, krijgt binnenkort automatisch het registratieformulier toegestuurd. Het registratieformulier moet uiterlijk 1 augustus 2012 retour zijn ontvangen door de gemeente Den Haag of op een Nederlands consulaat of ambassade.  

 

Parliamentary election 2012

The government has acceded to the wish of the House of Representatives that the parliamentary election should be held on 12 September 2012.

The Cabinet took this decision on the proposal put forward by Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations Liesbeth Spies.

The decision to hold the election in September allows new political parties to register, which they must do by 17 June.

Voting abroad

Voters living outside the Netherlands can register to vote at any time up to and including 1 August through website www.denhaag.nl/verkiezingen

Anyone who voted from abroad in the May 2010 election will automatically be sent a registration form.
